The atmosphere is anything but sleepy when concerts are staged at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord.

The open-air amphitheater was known as the Concord Pavilion when it opened in 1975‚ and today it continues to serve the Diablo Valley in northern California.

The venue that sits at the foothills of Mount Diablo seats 12‚500 for outdoor concerts‚ and performers during 2007 included Lyle Lovett‚ Rush‚ Def Leppard and Stevie Nicks.

The pavilion hosts everything from rock‚ jazz and classical concerts to community events.
