Ygnacio Valley Park
  • 9.5 acres, at the northeast corner of Oak Grove Road and David Avenue. This park has ball fields, a jogging path, picnic and barbecue facilities and a popular children’s play area.
Willow Pass Community Park
  • 40 acres north of Willow Pass Road at Olivera Road and Salvio Street. A large community center, four lighted and four unlighted tennis courts and six softball fields, four of which are lighted for evening play. A batting cage concession operates year-round. Pixieland, features child-size rides.
Todos Santos Plaza
  • 2.5 acres, between Salvio Street, Willow Pass Road, Grant Street and Mt. Diablo Street in downtown Concord. Colorful flowers, picnic tables, benches and a small children’s play area. A granite stage and fountain enhance the many community events held in this historic town square.
Sun Terrace Park
  • 2.6 acres at the corner of Vancouver Way and Montreal Circle. A children’s play area with swings, slide and climbing apparatus.
Newhall Community Park
  • Galindo Creek meanders through this 126-acre park, located along Galindo Creek, east of Treat Boulevard. Includes ponds, picnic areas, bocce ball courts and turfed athletic fields. The Paw Patch is a secure, fenced area where dogs can exercise off-leash. More than two miles of multiuse trails, linked to the regional network, are available for walkers, hikers, joggers, bicyclists and horseback riders. Rick Seers Neighborhood Park 3/4-acre on the northeast side of Sierra Road, between Fox Meadow and Fox Way. Neighborhood greenbelt with landscaped pathway. Amenities include a picnic area, play equipment and a half basketball court.
Meadow Homes Park
  • 12 acres at northwest corner of Sunshine Drive and Detroit Avenue, next to Meadow Homes School. The park features a swimming pool, ball fields, basketball courts and climbing bars.
Lime Ridge Open Space
  • This 175-acre park, located northwest of Treat Boulevard in the area between San Miguel and Cowell roads, features trails linked to a regional network and a community building. Native plantings will restore the natural oak/savanna grassland, increasing the diversity and abundance of wildlife. The Greater Lime Ridge Open Space is now accessible to the public with a trailhead at 5108 Montecito Way. More than 1,200 acres of pristine open space and 25 miles of trails are held jointly by the cities of Concord and Walnut Creek. Markham Nature Area is 16 acres off the northeast side of Cowell Road, near Babel Lane and at the south end of LaVista Avenue. Park amenities include a Nature Study Center used by the Mount Diablo School District and Concord’s Backyard Explorers summer day camp, community garden plots and the Garden Center headquarters of the Markham Arboretum Society.
Krueger Fields
  • 4 acres of turfed athletic fields located on Cowell Road at Almar Court, adjacent to the Loma Vista Adult Education Center. There are three baseball/softball fields, a sand volleyball court and a large open turf area.
Iron Horse Park
  • A small park on Solano Way, between Hilltop Road and Olivera Road. Amenities include a bocce ball court, benches, one picnic table with grill and access to the Iron Horse Regional trail.
Hillcrest Community Park
  • 26 acres at Grant Street and Olivera Road. Includes baseball, softball and soccer fields, a model airplane flying area and a children’s play area. A Korean War Memorial is located here, too.
Highlands Park
  • 9 acres next to Highlands School, off the north side of Pine Hollow Road, between Pennsylvania Boulevard and Louisiana Drive. Two creative play areas for children, ball fields and several picnic spots.
Len Hester Park
  • 4 acres at the corner of Hookston Road and Hampton Drive. Features gently rolling terrain suitable for children to play. A path winds through the park to several picnic areas.
Galindo House and Gardens
  • One of Concord’s founders, Don Francisco Galindo, built this historic home in 1856. The house and 1.5 surrounding acres were deeded to the city of Concord to be preserved as a museum and park.
Ellis Lake Park
  • 10 acres south of Clayton Road and east of Ellis Street. Rolling turf and a paved path surround the lake, which is home to many species of waterfowl. There are two children’s play areas. The historic Keller House, located in the park, serves as an office for community service agencies.
El Dorado Middle School Park
  • 10 acres at Concord Boulevard at Mendocino. The renovated playfields include two full-size soccer fields, three baseball/ softball fields, two sand volleyball courts, walking/ jogging paths and a play area for children.
Concord Skate Park
  • At the corner of Cowell Road and San Miguel Road, near Monument Boulevard. This 14,000-square-foot, state-of- the art facility was designed by skaters for skaters.
Concord Community Park
  • 30 acres off the north side of Cowell Road, between Hale Drive and Sheridan Road, next to El Monte School. Concord Community Pool is an Olympic-size swimming pool. Park facilities include unlighted tennis courts, a handball/tennis practice wall, ball field and a children’s play area.
Dave Brubeck Park
  • 8 acres on north side of Concord Boulevard, between Mendocino Drive and Denkinger Road, next to Concord High School. There are picnic tables, a stage and a children’s play area.
Cambridge Park
  • 10 acres on the east side of Victory Lane and adjacent to Cambridge Elementary School. There are picnic tables, soccer fields and a children’s play area.
Brazil Quarry Park
  • 4 acres at the end of Kent Way off Sutherland. This park includes an open, turfed play area, a natural creek, butterfly garden and children’s play equipment.
Daniel Boatwright Sports Complex
  • 9 acres on Campus Drive at Alberta Way, adjacent to the California State University, East Bay – Concord Campus. This park has five soccer fields and one baseball field.
BART Park
  • 5 acres under BART tracks between Mt. Diablo Street and Systron Drive. A meandering path parallels Mesa Street and San Miguel Road.
BART Linear Park
  • Port Chicago Highway, between Salvio Street and the North Concord BART Station, at Panoramic Way. This park provides a pleasant two-and-a-half-mile landscaped path for walking, jogging or bicycling alongside the BART tracks and away from traffic.
John F. Baldwin Park
  • 18 acres located north of Bonifacio Street and east of Port Chicago Highway, with an entrance at Beach Street. This busy park includes Concord Senior Center, preschool classrooms, a child-care facility, dance studio, basketball court, softball field and a children’s play area.
